Breast stories is a Canadian publishing project that casts a spotlight on the subject of breast cancer, mastectomy, and female identity that, each year, touches the lives of many thousands of women in Canada and around the world. Three years in the making, the project features the stunning photographs and frank personal essays of more than 50 women from British Columbia to Newfoundland and Labrador. Each of the women included in this groundbreaking project is a breast cancer survivor who had a mastectomy.
